The miniature luxury electric sedan is completed in Cosmo silver, which was recently put into production.
Lucid Air is one of the most exciting new electric vehicles thanks to its styling, elegance, range, performance and ability to attract the driver. It’s a standout electric sedan currently on the market, so it’s no surprise that it’s among a number of new diecast thumbnails featured in the April 2022 edition of Hot Wheels Magazine, which is published four times per year.
The series is called Best of Green Speed and its motto is
You don’t have to fill up your gas to outdo your competitors!
Hot Wheels chose to paint its miniature Lucid Air in Cosmo Silver, a color that was previously unprecedented – the first cars sold were all black, white or red. The cars finished in this silver color are now rolling off the production line, in the less harsh Grand Touring version with a capacity of 816 horsepower and an expected range of 516 miles (830 km).
It also includes the Audi E-Tron GT, the unique Ford Mustang Mach-E 1400, the GMC Hummer EV and the Nissan Leaf RC Nismo race car. Lucid is the most surprising presence among these EVs, all of which matter in different ways, especially if you look at sales volume and overall market impact.
However, it has proven to be so good that it has won praise from everyone who has controlled it. We also noticed the Air was actually pretty good and it was also the first EV to reach 500 miles (804 km) in our standard 70 mph range test. It’s also extremely fast in the Dream Edition cover, second only to the Tesla Model S Plaid in terms of acceleration.
Lucid Air Dream Edition Range, the type we tested, had a range of up to 520 miles (836 km) on a single charge, and we got close to that level even as we drove the car at a constant speed on the highway. We’re really impressed and looking forward to driving more versions of the Air in the future, as well as the company’s upcoming SUV called Gravity.
